As April marks Stress Awareness Month, it’s important to take the time to learn more about the foods that relax your body, mind, and soul. Here are top 12 vegetarian foods that are good at building the inner calm and relax your mind.
Milk – Milk can be used as a mind relaxation food because it produces a calming effect on our minds. Just grab a glass of warm milk if you feel the need to relax your nerves. It is also rich in calcium that induces calmness.
Dark Chocolate – Dark chocolate regulates levels of the stress hormone cortisol and stabilizes metabolism. It also enhances nervous and hormonal system function.
Green Tea – Green tea is a source of L-Theanine, a chemical that helps relieve anger. It has the ability to produce relaxing hormones that will help your brain to relax.
Honey – Honey is the best antibiotic. Also, it’s the great one that fights depression and anxiety. Apart from this, honey is also known to be rich in potassium which has a soothing relieve on the brain and also the body.
Fruits – Fruits that are high in vitamins are the most stress-relieving foods. Fruits like bananas and mangoes are the best choice to calm you down. Mindfully eat those fruits when you feel stressed.
