Pink Taxi ( For Women By women ) At Coimbatore
In India, safety for women is becoming a big threat nowadays. As most of our Indian women are working and also they need to travel for many reasons. Hence they are having much stress and anxiety while traveling in private cabs. Also, private cabs are not that much safe, especially while traveling in the night.
So Pink Taxi – Taxi for women by women is being launched in several major cities in India. Bengaluru Pink Taxis are already a big hit. Pink Taxi, a cab service “by and for women,” has been launched on in next major city Coimbatore last month.
The taxi service will have only women drivers and will be available for only women customers. Pink Taxi is a part of the Coimbatore-based cab aggregator Red Taxi. This all-women cab services will be available between 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

This is really a great initiative by the company as this can reduce the instances of sexual assault, acid attacks, and rape on women. The pink cab service will be functional 24 hours and priced at Rs. 21.50 per km during the day and Rs. 23.50 per km at night.
Solo female travelers or group of women can avail this cab services. This service has been implemented with an objective to provide a safe and secure mode of transport for women travelers around Coimbatore city and also creating self-employment opportunities for women drivers.
A heartfelt salute to The Team Of Pink Taxi for spreading hope, light, and smile in the hearts and faces of women and children. Our best wishes for abundant success in their business venture.

Hearty welcome!
This is a good initiative. I hope this scales well, and perhaps the bigger companies can take a clue and provide an option for driver preference over safety concerns.
You are right!
Very nice way of catching this topic.
