This Mom’s Life – Meet Ms. Vaishali. BK of Amma Today

1.What three words describe you as a mother?

Fun, protective, caring.

2. What’s the parenting rule you never break?

I don’t know if this is a rule, but we are very particular about raising our daughter to be independent and in control of herself. So she is always given a choice about clothes, food, toys, and books. We always make sure we do not force physical affection on her. No forced kisses or hugs. N definitely no “girl-boy” partiality.

3. And one rule you do break?

Simple ones, bedtime, nap time, eating on the booster seat, etc.

4. How do you spend time off for yourself?

Mostly I unwind by reading on my Kindle or surfing the net.

5. What’s the best part of your day?

My baby’s nap time, when I can do anything I want. Also, when she has just woken up and is in a mood to shower me with the cuddle.

6. What’s your favorite guilty pleasure?

I’m a glutton, any rich, fatty food would do.

7. What five things can always be found in your refrigerator?

Milk, curd, tomatoes, chocolates, and ice.

8. What words describe you as a wife and a mom?

Multitasker. I am usually at the top of my game and make sure everything functions perfectly at home, as a wife as well as mom.

9. Do you have a family ritual that you love?

We always eat together at the table as a family with zero distractions, and quality time.

10. What are 3 best things you love to teach your child?

To be kind, to share and to apply knowledge well.

  1. We mothers are such great multi-taskers, aren’t we? It was great to know about Vaishali on your blog, Vasantha.

  2. Eating together as a family – That is probably one of the golden rules of family life which should be followed as much as possible. Very nice thoughts shared by Vaishali through you

  4. “We are very particular about raising our daughter to be independent and in control of herself. So she is always given a choice about clothes, food, toys, and books. We always make sure we do not force physical affection on her.” This is so important . I just wish a lot of other parents realised it.

  5. Lovely to know a mom who is raising a daughter with such compassion. Gender equality is the need of the hour. Glad to know more about fellow mom blogger. 🙂
