Todays This MOM’s Life Guest Post is from Angie K of Not Another Tall Blog (notanothertallblog.com). She describes herself as an aspiring writer: do visit her blog to check out what she likes to write about! You can also follow her blog on Facebook (www.facebook.com/notanothertallblog) or Twitter (akehayova72).
She has two adorable kids: a 9-year old son and a 2-year old daughter. IShe loves spending time with them, especially taking them out and about. When she have some time for herself (which, admittedly, is not too often at all), she likes to read a good book or just chill out with her laptop.
Here goes her happy motherhood …
1. What three words describe you as a mother?
I’d say one word describes me very well: stressed! No, only joking! I try to be strict, but don’t always manage this. So I would say that the three key words to describe me as a mother are: loving, friend, inconsistent!
2. What’s the parenting rule you never break?
As much as I respect any rules (including parenting ones), I am known to break pretty much all of them. There is no rule that I wouldn’t break – especially if the reward for this is some quiet time and peace.
3. And one rule you do break?
All of them! I can be a strict mum, but also very relaxed – depending on how much time I have and what needs doing.
4. How do you spend time off for yourself?
Taking a relaxed shower; pampering myself with my lotions and potions; reading a book; listening to music. Note: watching TV is not on my agenda. J
5. What’s the best part of your day?
As sad as this may sound: bedtime. To me, sleep is not overrated, as I never have enough. This is the price you pay for being a mother!
6. What’s your favourite guilty pleasure?
Chocolate and biscuits! Oh, and the Internet.
7. What five things can always be found in your refrigerator?
Milk, cheese (cheddar and feta), plain (Greek style) yogurt, salad, eggs.
8. What words describe you as a wife and a mom?
As a mum, I try to strike a balance between being strict with my children and being their friend – very tricky! As a wife… I don’t know: I’ve been doing this “job” for over fourteen years, so this is just what I am.
9. Do you have a family ritual that you love?
We don’t really have rituals, or if we do, they would be very similar to a routine, which is why I am not too keen on them. What I do love is weekend mornings when I don’t have to rush the kids to get ready. When everyone is up, they just come to bed with me for giggle and play – until I decide it is time to really get up and get ready for breakfast.
What are 3 best things you love to teach your child?
Honesty, respect and good manners. Plus about a million of other things!!
Thank you so much Angie for your happy sharing.
Ahhh some one like me 🙂

This is so beautiful!!!
I think that “Mother” and “Stressed” are two things that walk hand in hand.
