Do body appreciation exercise. Think of your five senses. You can remember them with three S’s and two T’s: sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. Think of one good thing that you experienced today for each of your five senses. Sight: my sleeping son Sound: mystic music Smell: jasmine flowers at my garden Taste: tasty Venpongal I had in the morning Touch: my hug pillow Repeat this daily and you start loving your body and your life ….
Boost Your Body Power. Self care is more crucial activity in this fast-moving world. If you neglect self-care, then you are neglecting life. So try one of these 10 minute activities everyday to rejuvenate the body: yoga, jog or walk , stretch, take a power nap, get a massage, eat well, dance, breathe deeply, laugh, write, paint, practise silence. Really it would boost your mental power also.
Eat S-L-O-W-L-Y. Take more time for eating. Your brain takes around twenty minutes to create a feeling of fullness. If you eat too quickly, you may eat more than your body needs. Sew your food well; this will help slow you down and allow you to enjoy your meal more.
Chant “OM” Mantra everyday whenever possible. Its an energy medicine for stress. It helps to reduce mental stress, relax the body and affords steadiness in mind. Chant OM at least a few times daily for 15 to 20 minutes. I regularly do 21 OM chanting everyday morning with deep breaths. It relaxes my mind and body and provides me the needed energy for that day.
