K For Kindness: A To Z On Mindfulness For Newbies #StayMindfulWithMSN

Welcome to A To Z On Mindfulness For Newbies

The tenth letter to be explored in A To Z on Mindfulness For Newbies is K. K is for Kindness.

There is no meaning for mindfulness without kindness. Being kind to yourself and to others is the first step in being mindful. It makes both the giving and receiving persons happy. It is simple and contagious.

KINDNESS IN WORDS CREATES CONFIDENCE.

KINDNESS IN THINKING CREATES PROFOUNDNESS.

KINDNESS IN GIVING CREATES LOVE.

— LAO TZU

I love to do some little kind deeds often. My love for it started when I became part of Ripple Kindness and Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) sites and started sharing my stories in it.

I also enjoyed participating in 7 Days Challenge Of Being Kind some time back. I am also a part of We Are The World Blogfest (WATWB) to spread peace, love, and humanity on social media. In a world where news and social media are awash with negativity, we aim to turn the focus onto small but significant stories that renew our faith in humanity.

Doing RAK has reduced my stress, my worries, and my anxiety. Also, it increased my happiness, contentment, and purpose of my life.

  1. Love the idea of being kind to oneself. i think most of the times we let ourselves down by not being kind to ourselves. and that’s much needed before we are kind to others.

  2. I have been blessed with random acts of kindness by complete strangers and know from my personal experience that kindness goes a long way in making someone’s life better.

  3. I am also part of the WATWB and put up posts every last Friday of the month. The posts one gets to read are extremely insightful and we see how a number of people work quietly to spread kindness and love.

  4. I think one should definitely be kind to oneself. Often we are so harsh on ourselves that we let failure ruin our lives. We are supposed to make mistakes in life. But make sure you learn from those mistakes. Lovely post

Good one Vasantha… kindness is a virtue rarely seen and experienced these days. Kudos to you for reiterating the good word to us!

  6. Kindness is something that I am trying to teach my kid these days. I have realised lately that with kindness come accrued a lot of other virtues and lead to exponential growth of a soul. Enjoyed reading your post.
