Welcome to the third day of Write Tribe Festival Of Words – #WTFOW.
Day 3 (7 Aug/Mon) – Feature a map and write about a place either real or virtual
Ever have you wondered to understand your life? Do you know the purpose of your life? Can you easily communicate with people? And the single answer for all these questions is Travel More… Travel Often!….. By traveling more and traveling often, you can understand your life better!
South Africa is my most favorite place due to its beauty, people and nature. We visited South Africa four times for our vacation when my hubby was working there. There are many wonderful and beautiful places to visit there. Today, come and join with me in the virtual tour of one of the world’s most beautiful cities – Cape Town In 6 Photos.
Cape Town In 6 Photos …… #WTFOW Day 3
“Wherever you stand, be the soul of that place” – Rumi
Cape Town is the second-most populous city in South Africa, after Johannesburg and the provincial capital and primate city of the Western Cape. Cape Town, Mother City of Africa, and the Western Cape, an area which is regarded as one of the most beautiful regions in the world.
Table Mountain is a treasure of beauty. Its 1087 meters above the sea. It’s one of the official NEW 7 WONDERS OF NATURE. You can enjoy shopping, delicious food, cable trip, paragliding and helicopter rides here.
V&A Waterfront is the old world charm of the historical harbor meets the most modern shopping experience. This place is filled with fine dining restaurants, down-to-earth food markets, museums, and more leisure activities. It’s the most attractive Cape Town’s premier shopping and entertainment destination.
Chapman’s Peak Drive in Cape Town, which takes motorists on a 9km winding route from Hout Bay to Noordhoek, is widely regarded as one of the most scenic stretches of road anywhere in the world. Fondly known as ‘Chappies’ to Cape Town residents. There are 114 curves along Chapman’s Peak Drive, making it necessary for motorists to drive slowly and cautiously. It the 10th beautiful road drives listed in Top 10 Beautiful Road Drives In The World.
Cape of Good Hope, rocky promontory at the southern end of Cape Peninsula, Western Cape province, South Africa. Known for the stormy weather and rough seas encountered there, the cape is situated at the convergence of the warm Mozambique-Agulhas current from the Indian Ocean and the cool Benguela current from Antarctic waters. Grass and low shrub vegetation are characteristic of the promontory, which is part of the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve (established 1939) that encompasses the southern tip of the peninsula. There is a lighthouse on Cape Point about 1.2 miles (2 km) east of the Cape of Good Hope.
The beautiful Boulders Beach is one of Cape Town’s most visited beaches and the only place in the world where you get close to African Penguins. Boulders Beach isn’t just a great place for penguins, it’s also a popular family-friendly swimming beach where kids can climb over the boulders, explore the rock pools, or swim in the cool, clear False Bay water. It’s also a great place for a leisurely picnic.
If you are visiting Cape Town, make sure you include a trip to the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, not only for the spectacular view of nearby Table Mountain but also because the garden is a splendid showcase for South Africa’s indigenous flora.
