This MOM’s Life – Mother’s Day Special Post

Hope the celebrations of Mother’s Day is still going on. And I too want to use this wave today. Yet another special This Mom’s Life” post for Mother’s Day.

“This Mom’s Life” series has gifted me with lovely friends on this blogosphere. Happy to introduce today, a passionate blogger and mother, Sindhuja Kumar  of Passionate Moms. Happy for her friendship which I never expected.

Her blog is all about sharing the parenting adventures and tips, DIY craft tutorials and South Indian recipes. Her blog is kind of mommy blog with a passion for creativity and cooking.  She started this site purely for her own satisfaction but now she believes this site is also geared towards helping and inspiring all women & moms to build their home with lots of love implying positive parenting and lead a stylish life in an affordable way. She wants to be a better role model, so her daughter could consider her as inspiration. That’s how she ended up as a writer and thanks to her little angel.

She’s a mom of a baby girl aged 23 months. Her professional qualification is B.Tech Computer Science and she has worked as a Software Engineer and currently having a break due to the busy momma thing. Her interests are creating crafts including DIY, knitting, Tutu Dress making, Writing and blogging. And she enjoys as a cinephile and also loves watching Series in NetFlix. Binge watching is her all time favorite hobby.

Her achievements are after started blogging last year her blog turned out to be a great stress buster. She loves writing more than anything and the path lead her to blog in other sites like Collective Voice Magazine and Raising World Children as a contributor. With the help of her fellow blogger community eventually, she’s learning how to be a better writer. Recently her passion towards crafts and teaching enabled her to start Art and Craft Classes for kids. She says, “Spending time with that little creative minds is so much fun no one could resist”.

And she’s planning to write an ebook and fortunately, she has started some ground work this year. Hopefully, she’s looking forward to elaborating it and give a life to her plan.

My sincere gratitude towards her for earnestly accepting for this guest post. Here she shares her motherhood thoughts exclusively with our readers. Over to her,

I am so excited to be featured on “This Mom’s Life” series. Thank you Vasantha Vivek, it’s been an honor to be included. I am delighted to share my Mommy stories here by answering all the interesting questions with utmost honesty.
Motherhood is a love filled adventurous journey every woman wishes for and it is an indubitable truth. Most importantly motherhood is not a sacrifice we make, it’s a pure choice we choose to do. So, Mothering my child is always my greatest accomplishment. But, that does not mean I cannot chase my dreams. I believe women should not settle for anything unless it’s their passion and they should not hesitate for asking help. Searching our true identity is always healthy intriguing which makes us feel alive.
I want to use this space to thank a special person in my life and that’s my husband “Dinesh Kumar” who made everything possible for me. Without his support, I couldn’t be here.

 1.      What three words describe you as a mother?

Practical,  Esthete (I love to make over my baby girl) and Friendly Mom

2.       What’s the parenting rule you never break?

I am a staunch believer on breastfeeding and fortunately, I was able to do that until my daughter reached 18 months of age. Will never allow my kid to watch rhymes or any videos during the meal time especially on mobile devices. My daughter is now 23 months old and these were the rules I concentrated not to break and it will eventually change as my kid grows.

3.       And one rule you do break?

With guilt occasionally I allow my kid to watch T.V and have chocolates even if the accepted limit has already been crossed.😣😣😣

4.       How do you spend time off for yourself?

I love to spend time on writing and creating some DIY crafts out of scratch, other than that I am a movieholic and love to watch even some worst (mokka) movies when I am exhausted.

5.       What’s the best part of your day?

My best part of the day would be settling in the bed with my daughter and hearing her talking nonstop in a gibberish language as she is just 23 months old until she eventually falls asleep.

6.       What’s your favorite guilty pleasure?

Sneaking to have a chocolate and watching my favorite horror and thriller series on Netflix during my daughter’s naptime.😆😆😆😆

7.       What five things can always be found in your refrigerator?

Idly-dosa batter, Milk, Tomato, any Fruits especially Apple or Kiwi and Frozen Coconut ( the whole coconut is hard to find in my area 🙂)

8.       What words describe you as a wife and a mom?

Friendly and a Supportive wife with loads of love.

Vivacious and Forever forgiving Mom with unconditional love.

9.       Do you have a family ritual that you love?

This is not a ritual but while reading the question this one just popped straight from my head. Every Friday night is a movie night for the 3 of us. Settling on the couch and watching the movie until midnight is so much fun.

10.   What are 3 best things you love to teach your child?

Compassion– Being empathetic and humble is very important on handling a relationship. I need my daughter to be a great human being with complete happiness and not lonely.

Valiant – I will teach my daughter to be brave enough to follow her heart and not settle for what society decides.

It’s ok to do mistakes – Before winning, trying is important and it’s always ok to commit mistakes but failing to learn from mistakes is unacceptable. I want my kid not to be hesitant to try something new on fearing about the failure and also I want to teach my kid to accept the rejection and move on.

Thanks again Suja for your great lifetime sharing with us … 🙂
