7 Women Bloggers Celebrating Their Mothers On This Mother’s Day

I was a Computer Professor. My experience as a professor for past 16 years taught me many lessons. But I resigned my job during 2012 to look after my family since my hubby went to South Africa for his job. These 5 years had given me more life lessons and sweet memories than those 16 years of career life. Yes, really being a mother is more close to my heart. Motherhood is an awesome journey where your destination is not so important but the whole journey is. I really enjoy every aspect of being a mother. Blogging has taught me consistent learning on various dimensions of motherhood. Thanks go to my 13 years old intelligent but too naughty son. I love to spend quality time with him like helping in project works, bed time chit chats, teaching him the life values and so on. Really I am able to recognize the positive changes in his discipline and behavior due to my presence with him when he really needs. I also learned so many things from him such as generosity, kindness, cool and being techy. Thanks Mithu for all that you have brought into my life. Also being a mommy blogger, I learned many life lessons and stories from my fellow blogger friends.

7 Women Bloggers Celebrating Their Mothers On This Mother’s Day

Romila – Romilaa Aka Novemberschild is a proud member of the Thirty’s club. She is an experienced blogger who has been around since 2004. She is a voracious reader, e-book author, devoted coffee-drinker, avid thinker and a fashion lover who has a huge collection of bags. Music is her passion and you can find her writing most of the time. She is extremely friendly, helpful and a happy person. She accepts bouquets and brickbats on her writings. She Says,

” Born in Tirupati, raised and educated Andhra Pradesh and Chennai, marriage bought her to Delhi and now she resides in Hyderabad; I would like to introduce you to my mother. Her name is Prema and she is 60 years. Her looks disprove her age as most people are fooled into thinking that she is 10 years younger often considered to be my sister. She is the one who stood behind me on my positive decisions in life and faced me on the negative ones. She is super friendly, she knows everything about me the tweets I write, about all my friends (online and offline), the books I read and review, the articles I post on the blog. She reads all the pieces I keep scribbling. Ma was the only person that believed in my dream to be the best that I could be in writing. I wanted it more than anything in the world at the time, but had absolutely no promise. If she had not supported me in my passion (writing) since I first wanted to become a writer at the age of 13, I would not have won many awards, titles, contests and earned fame as a recognized writer/editor/blogger/book reviewer. Ma, wish you have the happiness you deserve and you know this already, but I’ll tell you again: you are always in my heart. I love you to the sky and back.”

Srividhya – Srividhya is a Software engineer by profession and a chef at heart. I am a recipe developer, blog owner of  Vidhya’s Vegetarian Kitchen and Co-Founder of Indian Moms Connect. She says,

I am a big fan of her simple yet delicious cooking. I always at an awe of how she prepares both breakfast and lunch before 7 AM every single day. She taught me how to be efficient in the kitchen. If not for my mom, there wouldn’t have been Vidhya’s Veg Kitchen, and if not for my kiddo I wouldn’t have explored IMC. I learn a lot from my mother and learning a lot being a mother”.

Puspanjalee Das Dutta – Puspanjalee Das Dutta of My Writing, My World  is a mom to a toddler. She’s eternally in love with everything that is remotely related to Harry Potter and various types of mythology. She prefers to cook dinner herself than going out on anniversary or birthdays. She lives to eat, not eat to live. Also she loves to try new cuisines. She says,

” My ma is the biggest inspiration for me in life. She is the staunch critic, ardent supporter and the best friend I could have ever in my life. Ma, a successful entrepreneur, has always advocates about the financial independence of women and she has raised me as an independent woman. She infused the belief in me that no matter what I do, she will always be on my back and it has made me confident and successful.

She is my pillar of strength and my inspiration on how to raise my daughter with courage. She is a strong woman and she remained to be stronger in every situation. I want to use this space to apologize to my mom for every word I yelled at her. Without you, I wouldn’t be this stronger. Thank you, Mom, for always being there for me Love you loads.

Ishieta – Ishieta of Isheeria’s Healing Circles was introduced to the world of Healing, Numerology, and Magick in the oldest school of education and learning – by her mother! Along with a full-time corporate career, she is answering the call of her higher self to help people re-design and heal their lives, through Numerology, Reiki, and Tarot Readings. She also enjoys Books, Movies, endless conversations, and have an opinion on everything! She says,

” Happy Mother’s Day Mom! Life has been interesting, topsy-turvy and challenging as well, and through it, all the one person who has always been there for me, as a friend, support and guide have been my mom. She is an Astrologer (among her many talents), and when ever I ask her a question about my own life, she looks at my chart, smiles and says, you have a good chart with the very interesting alignment of planets! I can only smile at this. And then she goes on to give me some practical suggestions on how to manage and handle the current challenge I am facing. Knowing what is in store for me and having her standing with me, has given me the strength to Live Life Joyfully in each moment! Thank you, Mom, for being You! & for being my mom.

Janani Viswanathan – Janani Viswanathan of Twins & Me is an ex-software professional and a happy Stay @ Home Mom. Her highest designation being the mother of twin boys 🙂 which has made her a blogger today. She says,

” There is a most precious person who created, molded and holds me safe in her eyes and heart forever. Who else can it be other than my beloved amma! Not a single day in my life has passed without talking to her, to be more precise without pestering her. She is the one who taught me “Life is beautiful” and anything can be mended with a “Strong heart and Optimistic thought”. She is my mentor, she is my best pal, she is my confidence, she is my strength and she is my everything. What I am now is the achievement of her selfless love and care. Love you amma. I am nothing without YOU.

She believes in the concept of real food, green living and always loves to search the simplest way to live a healthy lifestyle. Although she had 5 years of clinical and teaching experience in homeopathy, but the most indelible experience of her life is being a mom of two cute dolls.  She says,

” Happy Mother’s day to all and a heartiest thank to Vasantha for such a lovely round up, it is an absolutely a matter of pride to share your feelings for the person, who is the pillar of strength in your life.

I cannot express how grateful am I, to have her in my life. I did love to tell that how much I love her and how much she inspires me, but sometimes words are not enough to express your eternal emotions. For me, she is the only one who always knew what I was thinking before I could even say it. She has been the calming and loving force in my life. She is my biggest inspiration and greatest sounding board. She is the most important person in my life. So thanks a lot, mom, for your love, care and guidance.

Have you wished your mom today? What sweet memory do you carry about your mom? What do you love the best of being a mom? Don’t fail to share with us. We are very eager to read your lovely mommy moments.

Vasantha! What a beautiful tribute to different mothers of bloggers. It’s commendable and I personally get to learn something from the Maas on being wise and gentle. I read your Mom’s words on you and like every mother featured, your Maa is an inspiration and young at heart. Belated Mother’s day.
